With these awards, we want to recognize the best ice cream machine in each of four categories. The award honors one ice cream maker in each of four categories: overall best ice cream maker, best electric ice cream maker, best value ice cream maker and best ice-and-salt machine. The machines are rated on several factors: first and foremost the quality of the ice cream produced, ease of use, ease of clean up, price and value, and consumer reviews.
