Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker Review
The Cuisinart soft serve ice cream maker is an electric ice cream maker with fun features.
The machine has a gel-filled canister that must be pre-frozen before use. This step is important - if the canister hasn't frozen long enough at the recommended temperature, you'll get slush instead of soft serve ice cream. Once the canister is frozen, insert it into the machine, add the ingredients and turn the machine on. In about 20 to 30 minutes, you'll have home made soft serve ice cream.

Cuisinart ICE-45 soft-serve ice cream maker
Now the fun begins. The Cuisinart soft serve ice cream maker has a built in tap, so once your ice cream is ready, you can swirl it directly into a cone, just as if you were manning the counter at your local ice cream parlor. Feel like some chocolate sprinkles or chopped nuts on your cone? Pour them on from one of the three built-in condiment dispensers. The machine comes in white or pink. Features: - 1.5 quart capacity
- Built-in cone holder holds either pointed or flat-bottom cones
- Removable parts make it easy to clean
- Includes a recipe book
- Limited 3-year warranty
This is a fun machine, especially if you have kids in the house. With a little practice, you can swirl the soft serve into the cone just like a pro. One caveat - it only makes 1.5 quarts of ice cream and if you've got a crowd over, chances are you'll run out! When you buy the pink model, in addition to the satisfaction of indulging in delicious homemade soft serve ice cream, you can also enjoy the satisfaction of having donated to a good cause: A portion of proceeds from the sale of every Cuisinart Pink Series soft-serve maker will be donated to help support breast cancer research .
