Ice Cream Recipe No Eggs
This is a super easy ice cream recipe no eggs, no cooking. And yet despite its simplicity, this no-cook ice cream recipe forms a light base that is perfect if you plan on adding other ingredients with strong flavors, such as cookie crumbs, chocolate chunks, candy bars or nuts.
2 C of heavy cream
1 C of milk
¾ C of sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract or 1 Tbsp of vanilla sugar
- Whisk all the ingredients together until the sugars are completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Lay a piece of plastic wrap on the surface of the mixture, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- Pour into ice cream maker.
- When the ice cream is done, transfer to a container and allow to ripen in the freezer for several hours.
Philadelphia-style ice cream should be eaten within two days, or it becomes unpleasantly grainy.
