Philadelphia-Style
Ice Cream Recipe No Eggs

This is a super easy ice cream recipe no eggs, no cooking. And yet despite its simplicity, this no-cook ice cream recipe forms a light base that is perfect if you plan on adding other ingredients with strong flavors, such as cookie crumbs, chocolate chunks, candy bars or nuts.

Ingredients:

2 C of heavy cream

1 C of milk

¾ C of sugar

1 tsp of vanilla extract or 1 Tbsp of vanilla sugar

  1. Whisk all the ingredients together until the sugars are completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

  2. Lay a piece of plastic wrap on the surface of the mixture, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

  3. Pour into ice cream maker.

  4. When the ice cream is done, transfer to a container and allow to ripen in the freezer for several hours.

Philadelphia-style ice cream should be eaten within two days, or it becomes unpleasantly grainy.
