The Best Ice Cream Spade
An ice cream spade is different from a scoop. It is flatter, so you won’t get a perfectly round scoop of ice cream out of it, but spades are better for cutting through a batch of rock-hard ice cream, and they serve up larger quantities at a time. This is a self-warming spade, and so it combines all the advantages of a spade with those of self-warming scoop. It has two drawbacks – it isn’t dishwasher safe, and it’s pricier than our runner up spade. But it is, hands down, the easiest way to serve ice cream.

It's solid. It works. It's fairly inexpensive. What more could you want?
